BGP Redistribution Configuration

Command Syntax and Usage

metric <metric (1-4294967294)>noneSets default metric of advertised routes.

default noneimportoriginateredistribute

Sets default route action.

Defaults routes can be configured as import, originate, redistribute, or none. None: No routes are configured

Import: Import these routes.

Originate: The switch sends a default route to peers if it does not have any default routes in its routing table.

Redistribute: Default routes are either configured through default gateway or learned through other protocols and redistributed to peer. If the routes are learned from default gateway configura- tion, you have to enable static routes since the routes from default gateway are static routes. Simi- larly, if the routes are learned from a certain routing protocol, you have to enable that protocol in this redistribute submenu.

rip disableenable

Enables or disables advertising RIP routes

ospf disableenable

Enables or disables advertising OSPF routes.

fixed disableenable

Enables or disables advertising fixed routes.

static disableenable

Enables or disables advertising static routes.

current

Displays current redistribution configuration.
