Basic Photography and Playback: Auto Mode

Step 1 Turn the Camera On and Select A(Auto) Mode

This section describes how to take pictures in A (auto) mode, an automatic, “point-and-shoot” mode recommended for first-time users of digital cameras.

1 Press the power switch to turn on the camera.

The power-on lamp (green) will light for a moment and the monitor will turn on. The lens will also extend.

Proceed to step 4 when Ais displayed.

2 Press the ebutton.

3 Use the rotary multi selector to choose Aand

 

Shooting

press the kbutton.

 

The camera enters A (auto) mode.

4Check the battery level and number of exposures remaining in the monitor.
