Taking Pictures for a Panorama

The camera focuses on the subject in the center of frame. Use a tripod for best results. Set Vibration reduction (A 109) to Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting.

Panorama assist in the scene menu and press the k button (A35).

The (I) icon is displayed to show the direction in which pictures will be joined.

2 Use the rotary multi selector to choose the direction and press the k button.

Select how pictures will be joined together in the

completed panorama; right (I), left (J), up (K) or down (L).

Apply flash mode (A30), self-timer (A32), macro mode (A33) and exposure compensation (A34) settings with this step, if necessary.

Press the k button to reselect the direction.

3Shoot the first picture.

The picture taken will be displayed in 1/3 of the monitor.

4 Shoot the second picture.

Compose the next picture so that it overlaps the first picture.

Repeat until you have taken the necessary number of pictures to complete the scene.
