Shooting in Smile Mode

CFace Priority and Smiling Face Detection Features

When the camera is pointed at a face looking toward the camera in smile mode, the face is automatically recognized and the smiling face of the recognized one is detected.

In some shooting conditions, Face priority will not take effect and smiling face cannot be detected.

COperation of the Shutter-Release Button

Press the shutter-release button to take pictures.

When a face is detected, the focus is locked to the detected face.

If no face is detected, the camera focuses on the subject in center of frame.

CFunctions Available in Smile Mode

Flash mode (A 30) and exposure compensation (A 34) settings can be adjusted.

Digital zoom is not available.

When the dbutton is pressed in smile mode, only the Image mode menu (A 83) is displayed. Changes made to the image mode setting in this mode apply to all shooting modes (except those available from the movie menu).
