802.1x

Enable stations with 802.1x capability to

 

connect to the NB5Plus4W.

WPA

(Wi-Fi Protected Access) Enable stations

 

with WPA capability to connect to the

 

NB5Plus4W.

Note:

Currently VLAN (Virtual LAN) + Multiple SSID with different security options

 

is not supported. If you have enabled multiple SSID with security turned

 

off, when you enable any security option (WEP, 802.1x, or WPA), multiple

 

SSID will be disabled.

Wireless>Security>WEP

WEP (Wired Equivalent privacy) is a security protocol for Wireless Local Area Net- works (WLAN). WEP provides security by encrypting the data that is sent over the WLAN.

The NB5Plus4W supports 3 levels of WEP encryption:

64 Bit encryption

128Bit encryption

256 Bit encryption

With WEP, the receiving station must use the same key for decryption. Each radio NIC and access point, therefore, must be manually configured with the same key. The screen below illustrates the default setting of the WEP Wireless Security screen.

WEP is enabled by default.

1.Check Enable WEP Wireless Security.

2.Select Authentication Type
