Editing [OPTION]

7 Press the + button to select [Start].

8 Press the OK button.

•[Dividing!] appears and file dividing starts. File dividing is completed when

[File divide completed] appears.

9 Press the F3 (EXIT) button to close the [OPTION] screen.

Notes

•[File Divide] is available only from the File screen.

•The recorder cannot divide files when the number of files in the folder exceeds 999.

•Locked files cannot be divided (☞ P.51).

•After the file is split, the front part of the file is renamed [File name_1.mp3] and the latter part of the file is named [File name_2.mp3].

•If a file has an extremely short recording time, it may not be divided even if it is an MP3 file or PCM file.

•Do not remove the battery while dividing a file. Doing so may damage the data.
