Locating a Point
■Using the Search function to locate a
point DVD VCD CD MP3
SEARCH enables you to search for titles or chapters on a DVD; tracks on a video CD or audio CD; or folders or tracks on an MP3 discs. You can also locate a point by specifying its time value (Time Search).

Press RECEIVER, then press the number buttons to specify the desired title, chapter, folder, track, or the desired start point (time value).
Searching by title/folder or chapter/track number
Example:
•To select number 3, press 3.
•To select number 10, press 1 then 0.
•To select number 37, press 3 then 7.
Searching by time (Time Search)
Example:
•To locate a point at 21 minutes and 43 seconds, press 2, 1, 4, then 3.
•To locate a point at 1 hour and 14 minutes (74 minutes, 00 seconds), press 7, 4, 0, then 0.

Notes
•With some discs, you can locate a point using the disc’s top menu. In this case, press TOP MENU to display the menu screen and make your selection (page 53).
•The Search functions may be disabled on some DVDs. In this case, the mark is displayed.
•On DVDs or video CDs, playback may start from a point slightly offset from the time you specify.
•Time Search is disabled while the disc is stopped.
•Time Search is disabled during a video CD’s PBC playback. Cancel PBC playback (page 53) to use Time Search.
•Time search is disabled on audio CDs and MP3s.
