Changing the voice-over language DVD VCD MP3

If a DVD contains multiple voice-over languages, you can select the desired language. On video CDs and MP3s, you can select stereo, 1/L (left), or 2/R (right).

During playback, press SHIFT, then press AUDIO within

you press AUDIO, the voice-over language changes.

Changing the subtitle language DVD

During playback, press SHIFT, then press SUBTITLE within 10 seconds.

The current subtitle language is displayed. Each time you press SUBTITLE, the subtitle language changes.

Turning off the subtitle

Follow one of the steps below:

Press SUBTITLE, then press CLEAR.

Press SUBTITLE, then select Off.

Notes

The voice-over and subtitle languages you select are reset to the default setting as specified in the setup window (page 99) when you perform one of the following operations:

Cancelling the Resume function (page 50) Ejecting the disc

With some discs, switching the voice-over language during playback may cause the screen to freeze momentarily.

To play only the accompaniment parts on a karaoke CD, follow the steps for selecting audio channels described above to select the desired part(s) as specified on the jacket.

You can check the language selection only on the TV screen. To switch the MP3 audio selec- tion, check it on the TV screen.

Some DVD discs may not enable you to change the voice-over/subtitle languages using AUDIO or SUBTITLE on the remote controller during playback. In this case, you need to use the disc menu (page 53).
