*1 If the input signal doesn’t contain rate information, nothing will be displayed. The sampling rate or surround format is displayed for about three seconds. After that, the previously displayed information reappears.

The surround format display works as follows:
A: the number of front channels. |
3: front left, center, and front right. |
2: front left and front right. |
1: one channel. |
B: the number of surround channels. |
3: surround left, surround right, and surround |
