1Do one of the following:
•Select Hold to pause your
conversation while you view the other
application.
•Select Spkr-phone to continue the
conversation while you view the other
application.
•Connect a headset (see Using a
hands-free device).
2Press Applications .
3Select the icon for the application you
want to open.
4Press Phone anytime to return to
Active Call View.
Saving phone numbers
When you hang up a call with a number
that is not in your Contacts list, you are
prompted to add the number to your
Contacts list.
•To create a new contact entry for this
number, select Create a New Contact,
and enter the contact’s info.
•To add this number to an existing
contact entry, select Add to a Contact.
•To decline adding this number, select
Cancel.
•To disable the Add New Number
prompt, check the Don’t ask me this
again box, and then select Cancel.
If you don’t add a number right away, follow
these steps to add it later.

You can also press Phone to
toggle between Active Call View and Main
View in the Phone app, so you can open a
favorite by selecting its button.
TIP
You can turn the Add New Number prompt
on and off. In Contacts, open the Options
menu, and select Preferences. To turn this
option on, check the Ask to add unknown
phone numbers after calls box. To turn this
option off, uncheck this box.
