Other difficulties with playback
Audio and video momentarily
pause.
≥This occurs between playlist chapters or scenes ([AVCHD]).
≥When playing a title recorded on both layers, the unit automatically switches between
layers and plays the title in the same way as a normal program. However, video and audio
may momentarily cut out when the unit is switching layers.
BD-Video or DVD-Video is not
played.
≥Ensure the disc is for the correct BD-Video region code or DVD-Video region number, and
is not defective. (>cover)
≥You have set a ratings level to limit BD-Video or DVD-Video play. Change this setting .

≥Some BD-Video can only be output with HDMI.
Picture-in-picture is not played
with BD-Video.
≥Confirm whether the disc supports picture-in-picture.
BD-Live is not played with BD-
Video.
≥Confirm whether the disc supports BD-Live. (>17)
≥The inserted SD card does not have sufficient available capacity. (>17)
≥The SD card is write-p rotected. (>7)
≥Sub contents copied to an SD card are prov ided by the disc pr oducer as a part o f the BD-
Video content. Even if you record images and audio onto an SD card, it cannot be played
as a BD-Live. (>17)

≥The languages are not recorded on the medi a.
≥You may not be able to use the on-screen menu to change the soundtrack and subtitles on

≥The resume play func tion may not work depending on the media.
≥[BD-V]: On BD-Video discs including BD-J, the resume play function does not work.
You have forgotten your ratings
password.
≥While the disc and SD card are removed, press and hold [SKIP :] and [
SUBMENU
] on
the unit at the same time for mo re than 5 seconds. Turn the unit o ff. “DVD-Video Ratings”,
“BD-Video Ratings” and “Network Service” will return to the d efault settings.
The VIERA Link does not work. ≥Is the unit screen facing outward and closed? (>10, 3 or 4 in “Installation of the unit”)
The unit cannot be operated with the TV remote control in any other condition.
≥When using the unit with only the battery pack, operate after turning the unit on. (>12)
