Preparation:

[RAM] [SD] Release protection (disc, cartridge, card right).

Insert a disc or card.

With the unit stopped

Naming Discs

[RAM] [-R] [-R]DL] [-RW‹V›] [+R] [+R]DL] [+RW] Perform preparation steps 1−4 of “Accessing the Management Menus” ( left).

,  select “Disc Name”, then

OK

–You can give a name for the disc ( 37).

Tips

The disc name is displayed in the DVD MANAGEMENT window. With fi nalized discs and +RW, the name is displayed on the Top

Menu.

[SD] The only menu available in “Card Management” is “Format memory card”.

Tips

To return to the previous screen

Press [RETURN].

To exit the screen

Press [RETURN] several times.

Setting Protection

[RAM]

Perform preparation steps 1−4 of “Accessing the Management Menus” ( left).

,  select “Disc Protection” then OK

 to select “Yes” then OK Protection of cartridge disc or card

[RAM] (With a cartridge)

With the write-protect tab in the protect position, you cannot record to, edit, format, or delete from the disc.

[SD]

Switch the write-protect switch to the	L O
“LOCK” position.	C K
