1When the telephone rings, lift the handset.

If you hear a beep, the sound tells you that

someone wants to send a document(s).

2Remove any documents from the ADF.

Your machine starts receiving the document(s).

4Hang up the telephone.

NOTE

1. Your machine requires an optional fax handset or an external telephone connected to the TEL jack on the rear

of the machine.

2. If you receive a document in Super Fine resolution (406 x 391 dpi), it might be divided into multiple pages with

no reduction.
