Switching the Phone On/Off

Toswitch the phone on or off.

Pressand hold Eto switch power on

Youmay see a greeting animation and the phone

willgo into Idle mode.

Pressand hold Eto switch power off

IfKeyguard is on, it must be disabled first - see“Using Key Guard”

page17.

Making a Call

Ensurethe phone is switched on, the network

operatorlogo is displayed and the signal strength

metershows network coverage is available in the

currentarea.

Enterarea code, phone number and press D

International Dialling

Usingthe automatic international access code (+)

youcan dial international numbers without

knowingthe code for the international exchange.

Ifthe international number is known it can be

enteredmanually followed by the area code and

phonenumber.

2Presseto cycle through the abbreviated international country

namesand press Bto select the required country

3Enterarea code and phone number and press D

Note:

Many countries include an initial “0” in the area code. This should, in

most cases, be left out when dialing international numbers. If you have

difficulties making international calls, contact your Service Provider.
