Phone Security

Thephone features a number of security functions that protect

againstunauthorized use, and enable you to restrict access to

certainfeatures. It is recommended that you memorize your security

codes.If you need to make a note of your security codes, never write

themin a way that they can be recognised by another person. If you

forgetthem contact your dealer for the Phone Lock Code or your

ServiceProvider for PIN and PIN2.

Using the PIN

ThePIN (Personal Identification Number) protects your SIM against

unauthorizeduse. When the PIN is enabled, you must enter it every

timethe phone is turned on.

PIN2controls security for the Fixed Dial Store, Call Charge metering

andBarred Dialling.

Enabling/Disabling the PIN

1FromIdle mode press B83toenter the PIN menu

2PressBto enable/disable the PIN

3EnterPIN number and press B

Using Key Guard

TheKey Guard function is used to prevent any

keysfrom being accidentally pressed, for example,

whenthe phone is being carried.

FromIdle mode press Bthree times to

enableKey Guard

Whena call is received Key Guard is disabled temporarily, allowing

youto answer the call.
