≥It is possible to play back still pictures on a PC using a image viewer standard to Windows or
commercially available image browsing software, and copy still pictures to a PC using Windows
Explorer.

≥It is impossible to write data to this unit from a PC.
≥Motion pictures that have been recorded on another device cannot be written to the
software supplied with this unit.
≥When motion picture data is written to and read from the SD card, co rrect operation of the unit
cannot be guaranteed if software other than that supp lied with the unit is used.
≥Do not start the software supplied with this unit and other software at the same time.
∫About Conversion Assist Function
When you want to convert the recording quality and wr ite to media, the “Conversion Assist
Function”, which is a linking function between this unit and the HD Writer AE 5.1, is activated by
connecting this unit to the PC with the USB cable. When the “Conversion Assist Function” is used, it
is possible to write to media faster than when operating only on PC.

≥Do not insert a disc recorded in AVCHD format with HD Writer AE 5.1 in a device that
does not support the AVCHD format. In some cases the disc may get stuck in the
device.
≥To play back a Blu-ray disc to which you have copied scenes recorded in 1080/60p,
equipment is required that supports AVCHD Progressive.
≥When inserting a disc containing recorded mo tion pictures into other devices, a
message prompting you to format the disc may be displayed. Do not format the disc ,
since deleted data cannot be restored later.
