Connection and Signal Strength status
The intensityof the data communication and radio waveare shown in the levels of
18 asterisks.Install Network Camera in the highest level afterconfirming the data
communication and signal strengths tatus. At the lower levels, Network Camera
may easily lose wirelesscommunication.
1. Set [Infrastructure](Default)or [AdHoc].
[Infrastructure]enables Network Camerato communicate with the wireless
router that control transmissionpaths on the network.
[Infrastructure]automatically adjuststhe channel.
[AdHoc]enablesNetwork Camera to connect with the other wireless terminal
in peer-to-peer communicat ion. [AdHoc]requiresIEEE 802.11b wireless
devices such aswireless LAN card and wireless USB adaptor.
Set the channelused in the wireless network. Channel can be selected 1—
11. (Default isChannel 6.)
Channel
Many wireless deviceson the same channel make the communicating
speed slower.Set 5 channels apart to prevent the bandwidth from
overlapping. If anotherwireless network use Channel 6, you may use
Channel 1 or 11.
2. Set SSID (ESSID) of the wireless router or the wireless LAN card.
SSID is the wireless network name. SSID determinesthe communicable
network group on the wirelessnetwork. Set the same SSID to the wireless
deviceson the wireless network. If SSID is different, Network Camera cannot
be viewed on the wireless network.
SSID is case sensitive.
