Other Programmable SettingsSetting the Key Tones

You can choose whether or not the handset keys will sound tones (key tone, confirmation tone, error

tone). The factory preset is ON.

On the handset

Press or to select “Setting Handset” then or to select

“Tone Option” then while “Key Tone ON/OFF” is at the arrow

or to select ON or OFF

On the base unit

Press or to select “Setting Base” then

(OFF) or (ON)

If ON is selected, a beep sounds.

Selecting the Display Backlight Color

You can set the display backlight color to green, orange, or red. The display backlight will light in the

selected color when pressing a button, lifting the handset from the base unit or receiving a call.

The factory preset is green.

Press or to select “Setting Handset” then or to select

“Display Option” then or to select “Backlight Color” then

or to select green, orange or red

You can select the display backlight color for identifying callers by setting the private categry feature

(p. 34).
