Organizing multiple handsets at more than one base unit

Optional Handsets (Can be used at both base

units.)

*The included handsets (handsets 1) are only

registered to their corresponding base unit

(base unit 1 and base unit 2).

Example:

4 optional KX-A332CE-B handsets are added to 2 KX-TCD970E-B/

KX-TCD960E-B base units.

To use the same additional handset number in both base unit areas, follow the

steps below to register the handsets.

1. Determine the base unit number.

•Define which base unit is number 1 and number 2.

2. Determine the optional handset numbers.

• Define which optional handsets are numbers 2–5.

3. Register all of the optional handsets (2–5) in base unit 1 starting in order with

handset number 2. (See page 96.)

4. Register all of the optional handsets (2–5) in base unit 2 in the same order as

registered in base unit 1.
