Problem

You cannot program items,

such as the dialling mode.

While using the intercom

between handsets or the base

unit, a call waiting tone sounds.

(Redial/Pause) does not

function properly.

The unit misdials when

connected to a PBX.

You cannot register the handset

number.

Remedy

•Programming is not available while the

unit is in the talk or intercom mode.

•Acall has been received. To answer,

press (Talk) twice or

(Locator/Intercom) and (Digital

speakerphone) (KX-TCD970E-B only).

•It will redial the last number dialled if

pressed at the outset of a call (p. 27).

If another number has been dialled first, it

will operate as a pause button (p. 41).

•Check the pause function (p. 41).

•6 handsets are already registered in the

base unit.

•4 base units are already registered in the

handset.

•Awrong base unit password was entered.

Enter the correct password.

•There is interference from other electrical

units. Set the handset and base unit

away from them.

•You must register the handset number

within 1 minute or programming will be

cancelled.
