Setting the Remote Code

The remote code prevents unauthorized people from accessing your unit and

listening to your messages. Choose any 3 digit number (000–999).

The remote code is not preset.

Be sure that the power is ON (p. 17) and you are in the stand-by mode.

Press (Program), then

(Intercom).

Press .

•" " is displayed on the handset.

•"P" is displayed on the base unit.

Press .

Enter a remote code by using a

3 digit number (000–999).

•The entered number is displayed

on the base unit.

When finished, press (Program).

•Aconfirmation tone sounds.

•To change the remote code,

repeat from step 1.

•If 6 beeps sound in step 5, you did not enter a 3 digit number. Restart from

step 1 to program a 3 digit number.

•If a remote code is not programmed, you cannot use the unit remotely.
