Chapter 1 Preparation
Battery life may vary depending on usage conditions and ambient temperature.
Clean the handset and the base unit charge contacts with a soft dry cloth
once a month. Clean more often if the unit is subject to grease, dust or
high humidity. If not, the battery may not charge properly.
If the battery is fully charged, you do not have to place the handset on the
base unit until " " flashes. This will maximise the battery life.
The battery cannot be overcharged.

Turning the Power ON
Press (Power/Ringer) briefly.
The current connected base unit number is
displayed.
You can select displaying either the base unit
number, handset number or no display by
programming (p. 80).
The handset is in the stand-by mode.

To turn the power OFF

Press (Power/Ringer) firmly.
The display will go blank.
The handset will not ring.
Depending on the programming
mode, you cannot turn the power off.
Make sure that the handset is in the stand-by
mode first.
