Before Requesting Help

Problem

An alarm tone sounds when

you press (Talk).

Abusy tone sounds when you

press (Talk).

" " flashes during a

conversation and the call is

disconnected.

Static, sound cuts in/out,

fades.

Interference from other

electrical units.

The handset does not operate

or ring.

The base unit does not ring.

Remedy

•You are too far from the base unit. Move

closer and try again.

•Plug in the AC adaptor.

•Raise the base unit antenna.

•If more than one handset is registered,

another handset or the base unit

speakerphone is in use.

•The handset is out of range.

Move closer to the base unit and make

the call again.

•Make sure that the AC adaptor is

connected.

•Locate the handset and base unit away

from other electrical appliances (p. 5).

•Move closer to the base unit.

•Raise the base unit antenna.

•The power is OFF.Turn the power ON

(p. 17).

•The base unit ringer volume is set to

1 (low). Select 2 (medium) or 3 (high)

(p. 33).
