Problem

While recording a greeting

message, the unit starts to ring

and stops recording.

During playback, the unit starts

to ring and stops playback.

You cannot record your

telephone conversation with the

handset.

Remedy

•To answer the call, press (Digital

speakerphone) (KX-TCD970E-B only), or

press (Talk). The recording stops

halfway. Start from the beginning after

hanging up.

•To answer the call, press (Digital

speakerphone) (KX-TCD970E-B only), or

press (Talk).

To resume playback, press (New

message) after hanging up.

•The conversation cannot be recorded

when the answering system is in use

(recording a message, playing back a

message, etc.).

General

Problem

The unit does not work.

Remedy

•Check the settings (p. 14–19).

•Charge the battery fully (p. 16).

•Clean the charge contacts and charge

again (p. 17).

•The handset has been cancelled or the

handset has not been registered.

Register the handset number (p. 76, 96).

•Unplug the AC adaptor and turn the

power OFF to reset. Reconnect the AC

adaptor, turn the power ON. Then try

again.

•Re-install the handset battery and try

again.
