Local Loopback
Local Loopback loops the user data back to the DTE. This loopback is located as closely as possible to the User Data Port (DTE) interface.
"Procedure
To run a local loopback:
1.Position the cursor at the Start command next to Local Loopback on the Data Port Tests screen.
2.Press Enter.
3.The Start command is changed to Stop. If you want to manually stop the test, verify that the cursor is positioned at the Stop command.
4.Press Enter. The duration of the test is displayed.

511 Test Pattern for the DTE
This test sends or monitors a 511 test pattern over the User Data Port interface.
"Procedure
To run a Send 511 test:
1.Position the cursor at the Start command next to Send 511 on the Data Port Tests screen.
2.Press Enter.
3.The Start command is changed to Stop. If you want to manually stop the test, verify that the cursor is positioned at the Stop command.
4.Press Enter. The duration of the test is displayed.
