The SN4900 series has dual 10/100-Mbps Ethernet ports presented on two RJ-45 connectors supporting:

•100Base-TX half-/full-duplex operation

•10Base-TX half-/full-duplex operation

•Auto detection and fallback

Console port

The RS-232 port provides for initial configuration of the Model SN4900 series. The RS-232 port supports:

•Asynchronous data rate of 9600 bps, 2 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, no flow control

•An RJ-45 connector with EIA-561 (RS-232) pinouts

•A management interface (such as HyperTerminal) that supports VT-100 terminals

Serial ports

The serial expansion port allows for either a V.35 or X.21 interface depending on the model chosen. This port supports:

•V.35 interface presented on DB-25 connector

•X.21 interface presented on DB-15 connector

•Data rates up to 2 Mbps

•Frame Relay or PPP protocols

•Status and activity LED indicators
