FXS ports

The FXS ports provide for connection of up to 32 analog FXS devices on a 50- or 64-pin RJ-21X connector located on the rear panel.

FXO ports

The FXO ports provide for connection of up to 32 analog FXO devices on a 50- or 64-pin RJ-21X connector located on the rear panel.

PPP and Frame-Relay support

•X.21 or V.35 WAN

•Frame-Relay (8 PVCs)

•RFC1490, FRF.12 fragmentation

•LMI, Q.933D, ANSI 617D, Gang of Four (an encapsulation method created by the four companies: Cisco, Northern Telecom, StrataCom, and DEC which differs from the IETF encapsulation)

•PPP, PAP, CHAP, LCP, IPCP

Voice processing (signaling dependent)
