When you press a key on the handset you hear a beep.You can switch these beeps on or off.

8.1.4 First ring

Your SE245 will automatically detect the Caller Identiﬁcation (subscription dependent).Your phone will not ring until this information is displayed. If you wish to hear the ring before the Caller Identiﬁcation is displayed you can manually set FIRST RING to ON.
