9.1UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)

UPnP is a standard which connects multiple devices (wirelessly or wired) with each other and enables them to work seamlessly. If you are familiar with UPnP enabled devices,WACS7500 brings you additional benefits to enrich your wireless music streaming experience. If you are not familiar with UPnP-enabled devices, please visit www.upnp.org for details.

9.1.1About UPnP*

In addition to the music library of 9.1.1About UPnP* , an UPnP-enabled device can also serve as a music library.

The music collection on the UPnP enabled device can be played on 9.1.2About UPnP* enabled devices or Manual background , wirelessly or through the supplied Ethernet cable.

You can also play the music library of Manual background on the UPnP enabled device, thus expanding your home music network.

*Universal Plug and Play (UPnP™) builds on standard networking technologies and provides standardized protocols for a wide variety of home and small business devices. It allows easy interoperability of all the devices supporting the networking technologies.

9.1.2About UPnP* enabled devices

The UPnP device can be a PC or other device running UPnP software.

1To use the UPnP device with Manual background or Manual background , connect Manual background or Manual background to the UPnP network of the device (see 9.2 Connect to UPnP device).

2To play the music library of your UPnP device on Manual background or Manual background , check that UPnP server software is properly installed and enabled on the device (e.g.Windows Media Player supplied PC Suite CD,Windows Media Player 11 or Philips Multimedia Manager). For more help refer to Windows Media Player.

3To play the music library of Manual background on the UPnP device, check with the user manual of your UPnP device to make sure it is able to receive music from other UPnP enabled devices.
