Theequalizer lets you adjust the equalization
tomatch car interior acoustic characteristics
asdesired.

Recalling equalizer curves

Thereare six stored equalizer cur ves which
youcan easily recall at any time. Here is a list
ofthe equalizer curves:

!Customis an adjusted equalizer cur ve that
youcreate.
!Aseparate Custom curve canbe created
foreach source. If you make adjustments,
theequalizer cur ve settings will be memor-
izedin Custom.
!WhenFlat is selected no supplement or
correctionis made to the sound. This is
usefulto check the effect of the equalizer
curvesby switching alternatively between
Flatand a set equalizer curve.
%Onany source, touch EQ (displayed at
theleft bottom corner) to select the equali-
zer.
TouchEQ repeatedly to switch between the fol-
lowingequalizers:
Powerful—Natural—Vocal—Custom—Flat
—SuperBass

Adjusting equalizer curves

Youcan adjust the currently selected equalizer
curvesetting as desired.Adjusted equalizer
curvesettings are memorized inCustom.
!Youcan adjust the center frequency and
theQ factor (curve characteristics)of each
currentlyselected curve band(LOW/MID/
HIGH).

selectthe equalizer band to adjust.
Eachtime you touch cor dselects equalizer
bandsin the following order:
LOW(low)—MID (mid)—HIGH (high)
3 Touchcor don the LEVEL setting to
adjustthe level of the equalizer band.
Eachtime you touch cor dincreases or de-
creasesthe level of the equalization band.
+6to –6is displayed as the level is increased
ordecreased.
4 Touchcor don the FREQUENCY set-
tingto select the desired frequency.
Touchcor duntil the desired frequency ap-
pearsin the display.
Low:40Hz—80Hz—100Hz—160Hz
Mid:200Hz—500Hz—1kHz—2kHz
High:3.15kHz—8kHz—10kHz—12.5kHz
5 Touchcor don the Q.FACTOR setting
toselect the desired Q factor.
