For viewing LCD comfortably
Dueto its construction, the viewing angle of
theLCD screen is limited. You can adjust it by
changingeither screen size or picture adjust-
ment.

Changing the wide screen size

Bychanging the screen size from 4:3 to 16:9,
youcan adjust the screen so that the screen
canfit to the video image you are playing.

Changing the picture adjustment

Youcan make the best adjustment to the pic-
turedisplay by changing BRIGHT,CONTRAST,
COLORand HUE. You can also dim or enlight
theoverall picture image using DIMMER.

What the marks on DVDsindicate
Themarks below may be found on DVD disc
labelsand packages. They indicate the type of
imagesand audio recorded on the disc, and
thefunctions you can use.

When an operation is prohibited

Whenyou are watching a DVD and attempt to
performan operation, it may not be per formed
becauseof the programming on the disc.
Whenthis happens, the icon appears on
thescreen.
!Theicon may not appear with certain
discs.
Resetting the microprocessor
PressingRESET lets you reset the micropro-
cessorto its initial settings.
Themicroprocessor must be reset under the
followingconditions:
!Priorto using this unit for the first time
afterinstallation
!Ifthe unit fails to operate properly
!Whenstrange or incorrect messages ap-
pearon the display
1 Turnthe ignition switch OFF.
2 PressRESET with a pen tip or other
pointedinstrument.
