Main Menu

Using the onboard web agent, you can define system parameters, manage and control the Managed Switch, and all its ports, or monitor network conditions. Via the Web-Management, the administrator can setup the Managed Switch by select the functions those listed in the Main Function. The screen in Figure 4-1-4appears.

4.2 System

Use the System menu items to display and configure basic administrative details of the Managed Switch. Under System the following topics are provided to configure and view the system information: This section has the following items:

System Information Provides basic system description, including contact information.

IP Configuration

Sets the IP address for management access.

SNMP Configuration Configure SNMP agent and SNMP Trap.

Syslog Setting

Configures the logging of messages to a remote logging process.

Firmware Upgrade Upgrade the firmware via TFTP server or Web Brower file transfer.

Configuration Backup Save/view the Managed Switch configuration to remote host.

 

Upload the switch configuration from remote host.

Factory Default

Reset the configuration of the Managed Switch.

System Reboot

Restarts the Managed Switch.
