Column 2: DISTANCE, SPEED, and RESISTANCE

DISTANCE—shows the linear distance in miles or kilometers. The distance is calculated based on your current pedaling speed (RPM) and resistance setting.

SPEED—shows the linear distance in miles or kilometers. The distance is calculated based on your current pedaling speed (RPM) and resistance setting.

RESISTANCE—shows the linear distance in miles or kilometers. The distance is calculated based on your current pedaling speed (RPM) and resistance setting.

Column 3: RPM, MET, and AVERAGE SPEED

RPM—indicates the number of pedal revolutions completed per minute. The value can range between 20 and 150.

METS—shows the metabolic units associated with your workout.

AVERAGE SPEED—relates to the total workout time divided by the total accumulated distance. The displayed value provides an estimate of the average speed you would be traveling if you were not on a stationary bike.

Column 4: CALORIES, WATTS, and CAL PER MIN

CALORIES—displays the estimated cumulative number of calories burned. The calorie calculation is derived from the pedaling speed and your weight. An accurate weight entry results in a more accurate calorie count. When using QUICKSTART and a weight has not been specified, the default weight is 150 pounds (68 kilograms).

WATTS—displays the current mechanical energy generated by the unit.

CAL PER MIN—displays the approximate number of calories burned per minute.
