Date Column
This column displays the date and time the message was composed, or, for timed
messages, the date and time the message is scheduled to be sent. Date format s,
including age-sensitive indications such as the day of the week or “Today,” are set in the
Date Display options window. See “Date Display” on page 218. Click the page number to

Size Column
This column displays the size of the message in kilobytes, K (1 K = 1,024 bytes).
Server Status Column
This column displays the action that is done to the corresponding incom ing message on
the server. The next time you check mail, the server status you requested is automatically
completed.
Note. To control the mail transfer for a POP server, you can also use the Mail Transfer
options window. For details, see “Checking for Mail with Special Server Instructions” on

Subject Column
This column displays the subject of the message. The sender originally typed this info rma-
tion into the message header, but you can modify it. See “Editing Incoming Messages” on

Fetched
Not fetched
Don’t change the message on the server. A solid
diamond indicates that the message has been
fetched; an open diamond indicates that the
message has not yet been fetched.

(IMAP only) Retrieve messages from the IMAP
server, but not all attachments have been
fetched.
Fetch Retrieve the whole message from the server.
Delete Delete the message from the server.
Fetch then
Delete Retrieve the whole message, then delete it from
the server.
