Addressing a Message from the Directory Services Window
You can create and address a message with the query results in the Directory Services
window.
To create a new message, do the following.
Important. Make sure there are no outgoing messages already open.
1Perform your query.
2Click to select one or more summaries in your results list.
3Click the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: button. A new message is created, and it is addressed
appropriately with the selected query results.
To add an address to an existing message, do the following.
Important. Make sure the message you want to address is active.
1From the Tools menu, choose Directory Services, or if the Directory Services window
is an inactive window in a visible tabbed window group, click its tab. The D irectory
Services window appears.
2Perform the query.
3Click to select one or more summaries in the results list.
4Click the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: button. The addresses from the selected query results are
added to the appropriate field of the current message.
Note. The behavior of the To:, Cc:, and Bcc: buttons is subject to the restrictions in

Making an Address Book Entry from Query Results
You can make a nickname from your query results in the Directory Services window and at
the same time add the entry to your Address Book.
To make a nickname from your query results, do the following.
1From the Tools menu, choose Directory Services, or if the Directory Services window
is an inactive window in a visible tabbed window group, click its tab. The D irectory
Services window appears.
2Perform the query.
3Click to select one or more summaries in the results list.
4From the Special menu, choose Make Address Book Entry. The Make Address Book
Entry window appears so that you can name the nickname. The real name and ema il
address for each selected query result is included in the new entry.
