This field allows the host to select any specific page or all of the

 

pages supported by the drive.

Allocation Length

This field specifies the number of bytes that the host has allocated for

 

returned MODE SENSE data. An allocation length of zero indicates

 

that the drive will return no MODE SENSE data. This is not considered

 

an error, and GOOD status is returned.

 

 

 

MODE SENSE may be either MODE SENSE (6) or MODE SENSE (10). MODE SENSE (6) data contains a 4-byte header followed by one 8-byte block descriptor, followed by zero or more variable length pages, depending on the Page Code and Allocation Length.
