Holding your camera correctly

Make sure nothing is blocking the lens.

Half-pressing the shutter button

Half-press [Shutter] and adjust the focal point. Focus and exposure will be adjusted automatically or the flash will pop up if necessary.

The aperture value and shutter speed are automatically set.

Reducing camera shake

• Set the Optical Image Stabilisation option to reduce camera shake optically. (p. 18)

• Select the 7 mode to reduce camera shake both optically and digitally. (p. 21)

When is displayed

When shooting in the dark, avoid setting the flash option to Slow Sync or Off. The aperture remains open longer and it may be harder to hold the camera still.

• Use a tripod or set the flash option to Fill in. (p. 33)

• Set ISO speed options. (p. 35)
