If the flash fires when you take a photo of a person in the dark, a red glow may appear in the eyes. To prevent this, select Red Eye or Red Eye Fix.

Use the flash when taking photos in the dark.

1 In Shooting mode, touch .

2 Select a flash option.

Option

Description

	•	The flash will not fire.
Off	•	Camera shake warning ( ) is displayed in
		the dark.
Auto	The flash fires when the subject or background
	is dark.
	•	The flash fires when the subject or
Red Eye*		background is dark.
	•	The camera reduces red-eye.
Fill in	•	The flash always fires.
	•	Light intensity is adjusted automatically.
