Version/Software Upgrade/Common Interface

Press DIGITAL MENU, the menu will appear on
the screen.			Version

Press B or A to select Technical Information option.
Press C or D to select ÔVersionÕ from the sub menu tab, then press ENTER.
Version information banner will appear.
Software Upgrade
1	Turn to a BBC channel first!	Main menu	Technical Information
		ABC
Select Technical Information option (the 5th icon			Version
along at the top of the menu).			Software upgrade

Select ÔSoftware upgradeÕ from sub menu tab by pressing C or D. Then press

ENTER.

If a software upgrade is available from an Over-Air-Download (OAD) then the message ÔS/W available, do you want to download?Õ will be displayed - you can then select ÔYesÕ or ÔNoÕ by pressing B or A, then press ENTER.

If you select the option ÔYesÕ then the Software Upgrade process will be initiated. It will take about 20 minutes and after this process is complete, the TV will be rebooted automatically.

If you select the option ÔNoÕ you can continue to watch TV programmes as before.

Common Interface

Press DIGITAL MENU, the menu will appear on

the screen. Press B or A to select Common Interface option, then press ENTER.

From the Technical Information option in the menu you can access the Version and Software upgrade menus.

Software Upgrade

allows you to

download the latest software available on the Engineering channel which is carried on Multiplex 1 (BBC).

Note:

¥During the Software Updating process, do not turn off the unit. At this time you cannot use any of the buttons, apart from (STANDBY).

¥After the Software Updating process, the Digital Menu memory settings will be lost, so it is necessary to go through the setting up procedures again.

The CAM module name will be displayed. You have to press ENTER to view further information.

In the CI Menu, CAM specific information such as Module information, Smart card information Language and Software Download are shown.

Press C or D to select information, then press ENTER to see detail.

Press EXIT to return to the normal screen.

Note:

¥ If you remove the CAM module in the digital TV mode then ÔCAM module has been removedÕ will be shown on the screen.

If you enter into the Common Interface menu when the CAM is not inserted then ÔNo CAM FoundÔ will be displayed.
