Key Functions
1. Earpiecelets you hearthe caller and automated
prompts.
2. Main Screendisplays all the information needed to
operate yourphone, such as the call status, the
Contacts list, the date and time, and the signal and
battery strength.
3. Softkeyslet you select softkey actions ormenu items
corresponding to the bottom right/left line on the
main screen.
4. Navigation Keyscrolls through menus quickly and
easily. These keys can also be reassigned to create
customized shortcuts.
5. MENU/OKKey lets you access the phone’smenus
and select the highlighted choice when navigating
through a menu.
6. Camera Keylets you access the Pictures menu and
take pictures.
7. TALKKeyallows you to place or receive calls, answer
Call Waiting, use Three-Way Calling, oractivate
Voice Dial.
8. SPEAKER Keylets you place orreceive calls in
speakerphone mode orturn the speakerphone on
and off during a call.
9. Microphoneallows other callers to hearyou clearly
when you are speaking to them.
10. Keypadlets you enternumbers, letters, and
characters, and navigate within menus. Press and
hold keys 2–9. (See “Using Speed Dialing”on
page 26.)
11. END/POWER Keylets you turn the phone on oroff,
end a call, orreturn to standby mode. While in the
main menu, it returns the phone to standby mode
and cancels yourinput.
12. BACKKeydeletes characters from the displayin text
entry mode. When in a menu, pressing the BACK
keyreturns you to the previous menu. This key also
allows you to return to the previous screen in a
SprintVision session.
13. Headset Jackallows you to plug in an optional
headset forconvenient, hands-free conversations.
CAUTION!Inserting an accessory into the incorrect
jack maydamage the phone.
