Setting up service on yournew phone is quick and easy.This

section walks you through the necessary steps to set up

and turn on yourphone, set up yourvoicemail, establish

passwords, and contact Sprint forassistance with your

Sprint service.

Setting Up YourPhone

1. Install the battery.

nInsert the battery into the opening in the back of the

phone, making sure the connectors align. Gently

press down to secure the battery.

nReplace the battery coverand slide it upward until

you heara click.

2. Press to turn the phone on.

nIf yourphone is activated, it will turn on, search for

Sprint service, and enterstandby mode.

nIf yourphone is not yet activated, see “Activating

YourPhone”on page 3 for more information.

3. Make yourfirst call.

nUse yourkeypad to entera phone number.

nPress .

Note Yourphone’sbatteryshould have enough charge

forthe phone to turn on and find a signal, set up

yourvoicemail, and makeacall. You should fully

charge yourbattery as soon as possible. See

“Charging YourBattery”on page 16 fordetails.
