POSSIBLE CAUSE

Oven controls not properly set. See the Broiling section. - Oven door and/or broiler drawer not closed°

Improper shelf position being used. See the Broiling section°

Food is being cooked on a hot pan.

° Cook'ware is not suited for broiling°

Aluminum foil used on the broiler pan grid has not been fitted pmpedy and slit as recommended.

Oven bottom not securely seated in position.

Oven temperature is too high to set self-cleaning operation.

Allow the range to cool to room temperature and reset the controls.

OVEN SET knob not set to CLEAN.

Door latch handle not moved all the way to the right.

°Oven controls not set properly. See the Operating the Self-Cleaning Oven section.

Heavily soiled ovens require at least 4 hours and 20 minutes of cleaning time° Heavy spitlovers should be cleaned up before starting clean cycle.

The oven must coot below the !ocldng temperature after the dean cycle is complete. Do not lock door with door latch except when using the

self-dean feature or the oven may lock.

Turn the OVEN SET knob to OFE

Improper air!gas ratio in oven. Adjust oven burner air shutter°

-An odor from the insulation around the oven liner is normal for the first few times oven is used° This is temporary.
