Off Line and On Line Mode
Pressing and relea sing the power butto n toggles the pr inter between off line and on
line mode. An ambe r status light i ndicates that th e printer is off line. There is no
communication wi th the computer w hen the printer i s off line.
This feature is a h andy way to stop pr inting so you don’t wa ste labels whi le you delete
labels from the p rint queue.
Changing a Label Roll
This procedure des cribes how to remove a nd replace label rolls.
• You can load a diffe rent type of labe l at any time — you don’t have to wait unti l all of the
labels have been u sed.
• When you run out of labels, the g reen status lig ht on the front of t he SLP flashe s. If printing
is in process, a m essage appea rs telling you t hat the printer i s out of labels .
Removing the Old Roll
CAUTION: DO NOT pull on the labels to remove them from th e
printer. This may cau se labels to get stuck inside the printer.
1 Tear of f any printed lab els. If label s aren’t torn off, they m ay get jammed wh en you
perform step 2.
2 Press and hold the form fee d button. The la bels will revers e out of the SLP. If thi s
does not work, see "Adjusting your La bel Position" on Page 12 to release th e platen
to remove the labels.
Loading the New Roll
Prepare and load the new label roll a s described in “Loading a Roll of Labels” on pag e 7.
