A Word About Labels
For best results we recommend the u se of Seiko Inst ruments Smar tLabels. Other brands may
not be engineered to p rovide optimum, t rouble-free res ults with your S LP; they may not
work with your printer or they may dama ge it and void you r warranty.
SmartLabels are available in a wide variety of sizes and color s to properly lab el almost
anything.
The SmartLabel s have a sensor m ark on the back ing of each lab el that the SLP 410/420/
430/440/45 0 uses for top of l abel alignme nt. Check to be sure th e labels have t his mark
before loading them into the SLP.
Note... Older Smar tLabels did not h ave this senso r mark. Be sure that the SLP 410, 420 , 430,
440 and 450 a re listed as sup ported printers on the Smart Labels package.
Caring for Labels
The labels are se nsitive to heat, mo isture, and lig ht. With this in mind:
• Store labels in a coo l, dry place.
• Do not scratch or rub la bels with a ha rd object.
• Keep o rganic solvents a way from labels.
