Removing Stuck Labels If a label becomes stuck in your S LP, remove it as follows:
1 With a pair of scis sors, cut the l abel stock betwe en the label rol l and the label slot at the
back of the printer.
2 Swive l the label cover o pen and remove the print engine cover by pulling for ward on the
edges at the top of t he cover.
3 Relea se the pressu re on the label s tock by moving the p laten release l ever forward.
4 Remove t he stuck label.
5 If th e label — or pi eces of the label — stick to the p laten, use a sm all amount of is opropyl
rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to dissolve the a dhesive on the b ack of the label .
CAUTION: DO NOT touch t he print engin e. It may be hot.
6 Once you have removed any rema ining pieces o f label, return t he platen releas e lever
to the locked positi on.
7 Repla ce the print eng ine cover, startin g at the bottom, on the SLP and push the top
edge forward until the cover snaps i nto place.
