AOP Operating Modes
Operating in Master Mode (Broadcast Operation)
In master mode, the network controls the SED2 VFDs either individually or by broadcast operation. A broadcast operation can simultaneously start or stop all networked SED2 VFDs.
While in broadcast operation, note the following AOP functions:
•Since parameters can not be edited globally, does not function in a broadcast operation.
• and still function in a broadcast operation. For example, it would be possible to change the speed of a motor simultaneously across all networked SED2 VFDs.
•If a ‘Communications Failure’ displays, the screen also indicates which slave SED2 VFD is not working correctly. Press to acknowledge the warning condition.
If the warning condition occurs again, the AOP assumes it is not connected to the SED2 VFD and returns you to the main menu.
Communications Failure
If communications between the AOP and a SED2 VFD fails, a warning screen displays. Press to acknowledge the warning condition. If the warning condition occurs again, the AOP assumes it is not connected to the SED2 VFD and returns you to the main menu.
If the AOP fails to establish initial communications with a SED2 VFD, any attempt to select Operate from the main menu results in an warning screen. Press to acknowledge the warning condition and to return to the main menu.
Displaying Drive Status
The AOP can monitor the status of its associated SED2 VFD and motor. The screen displays the current activity of the SED2 VFD and motor, including any fault conditions.
Verifying Drive Type
The AOP can verify the type of its associated SED2 VFD. If the SED2 VFD type is incompatible with the AOP, it inhibits operation and returns to the main menu.
