Notes on the LP mode

When you record a tape in the LP mode on your camcorder, we recommend playing

the tape on your camcorder. When you play back the tape on other camcorders or VCRs, noise may occur in pictures or sound.

When you record in the LP mode, we recommend using a Sony Excellence/Master cassette so that you can get the most out of your camcorder.

You cannot dub audio on a tape recorded in the LP mode. Use the SP mode for the tape to be audio dubbed.

When you record in the SP and LP modes on one tape or you record some scenes in the LP mode, the playback picture may be distorted or the time code may not be written properly between scenes.

Notes on AUDIO MODE

You cannot dub audio on a tape recorded in the 16-bit mode.

When playing back a tape recorded in the 16-bit mode, you cannot adjust the balance in AUDIO MIX.

The Sony DCR-TRV16, DCR-TRV25, and DCR-TRV27 are part of Sony's acclaimed Handycam series that gained popularity in the early 2000s for their compact design and advanced features for capturing video. These models are crafted with a keen focus on delivering high-quality video recording and user-friendly functionalities, making them suitable for both amateur videographers and professionals.

The DCR-TRV16 is renowned for its ease of use, featuring a 20x optical zoom lens which allows users to capture distant subjects with clarity. It boasts a 1/6 inch CCD sensor that provides vivid color reproduction and decent low-light performance. This model also includes a 2.5-inch flip-out LCD screen, which enhances the shooting experience by allowing users to view their recordings from various angles. With Digital Still Picture capabilities, the DCR-TRV16 can also capture images in a JPEG format, further increasing its versatility.

Moving up in the lineup, the DCR-TRV25 incorporates a number of enhancements, including a 1.5-inch 16:9 widescreen mode.
