Self-diagnosis display
Your camcorder has aself-diagnosis display
function.
This function displays the current state of your
camcorder as a 5-digit code (a combination of a
letter and figures) inthe viewfinder, on the LCD
screen or in the display window. Ifa 5-digit code is
displayed, check the following list of codes. The
last two digits {indicated by IZID) differ depending
on thestate of your camcorder.

Five-digit display Cause and/or Corrective Actions
C:04:KIKI • You are using a battery pack that is not an
"InfoLITIIIUM" battery pack.
+ Use an "InfoLITHIUM" battery pack. (p. lgT)
C:21:KIKI • Moisture condensation has occurred.
+ Remove the cassetle and leave your camcorder for at
least one hour to acclimatize. (p. 202)
C:22:KIKI • The video heads aredirty.
Clean the heads using the cleaning cassette (optional).

C:31:DD • A malfunction other than theabove that you can service
C:32:DD has occurred.
÷ Remove the cassette and insert itagain, then operate
your camcorder.
÷ Disconnect the power cord of the AC power adaptor or
remove the battery pack. After reconnecting the power
supply, operate your camcorder.
E:20:DD • A malfunction that you cannot service has occurred.
E:61:DD + Contact your Sony dealer orlocal authorized Sony
E:62:DD service facility and inform them of the 5-digit code.
