Connection Examples

This section offers examples of some typical methods for connecting to the Internet. The connection method you should use depends on your ISP. For more information, contact your ISP.

• Connecting to a cable or DSL modem

Use a LAN cable (not supplied) to connect the LAN port on the base station to a cable or DSL modem. If your apartment building is equipped with Ethernet wall jacks, directly connect the base station to a wall jack.

zTip

Labels such as ETHER, 10 Base-T/100 Base-TX, LAN, and ENET are used to identify the Ethernet port on a cable or DSL modem.
