2 Select [E-mail].

The [E-mail] window appears.

3 Select [Folder].

The [Folder] window appears.

You cannot select this unless a “Memory Stick” (LF-X1) or a CompactFlash card (LF- X5) is inserted.

4 Select the folder that you want to rename, change the name, and select [OK].

The [E-mail] window reappears.

5 Select [Settings].

The [Settings] window reappears.

6 Select [Exit].

zTip

To view mail saved in a folder with your computer, access the “LFXmailx” folder (where x is an arbitrary number) on the “Memory Stick” (LF-X1) or CompactFlash card (LF-X5). If you edit a mail on your computer, note that it may be deleted when you insert the “Memory Stick” (LF- X1) or CompactFlash card (LF-X5) into the LocationFreeTV.

Auto-checking for New Mail (LF-X1 Only)

The unit can periodically check if you have new mail. For more on configuring this option, see “Setting Up Mail” (1 page 43).

This function is only available for the LF-X1.

zTip

Automatic mail detection is performed at any time, even while you are watching TV and browsing web pages.

Configuring Other Mail

Settings

You can specify the font size of a mail on the
screen, or save a signature (information such as
your name and mail address). By saving a
signature, you can automatically add your contact
information at the end of a mail, which saves you	Mail
the task of entering your name, address, etc. each
time you compose a mail.
Perform font size and signature settings in
[Settings] under [E-mail]. Settings made with
[Character Code] under [Web] - [Web Basics]
(1 page 82) are also applied here.

Searching for Mail

You can search for mail in your Inbox, Outbox, or on a “Memory Stick” folder for the LF-X1, a folder of the CompactFlash card for the LF-X5. This function allows you to locate text in your e- mail easily and to select several messages to move or delete at once. When mail is moved or deleted from the search results, moreover, it is also moved or deleted from its original location.

1 Open the Inbox, Outbox, or a folder, and select [Search].

The mail search window appears.

2 Enter a character string in the [Word] field, specify search parameters, and select [Search].
